Elon Musk Just Calls Doge, Dogecoin Trading
Jumps Up Dogecoin cryptocurrency has an important fan
base, namely Elon Musk. Entrepreneur Elon Musk who has 45 million
followers on Twitter and more money than anyone else on the planet mentions Dogecoin in several
of his tweets. A series of tweets sent by Elon Musk overnight
saw Dogecoin, Bitcoin's rival, trade up more than 50 percent on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Elon Musk's first tweet contained only one
word: "Doge." This was followed by another hypnotic tweet
for cryptocurrency lovers, which traded at 5 cents Thursday morning, up from about 3
cents before his tweet. "Dogecoin is people's crypto," Elon Musk said
in a follow-up tweet. "There are no highs, no lows, only doge,"
Elon Musk added later.
This isn't the first time Elon Musk's Twitter
followers' attention to Dogecoin has seen stocks soar. On December 20, a tweet in which he said,
“One Word: Doge” sent the value up 20 percent and trending on Twitter. Elon Musk has previously criticized the more
established and much more expensive cryptocurrency Bitcoin, calling it BS in several tweets. But in an interview on social app Clubhouse,
Elon Musk said he should have bought the digital currency eight years ago. "I at this point thought Bitcoin was a good
thing. I was late to the party, but I am a bitcoin
supporter," he said. Then Elon Musk seems determined not to be
